Oghang Kedah is a digital campaign concept with the aim to bring light to Malaysian folklore and culture, specifically folklore native to the state of Kedah. The campaign focuses on introducing three Kedahan folk characters and their stories, presented in a modernized fashion to attract the youth. A microsite will be launched where these characters can be dressed up in preparation to for the Oghang Kedah festival. This not only allows people to interact with the characacters more but also learn about the traditional clothing and artefacts that are exclusive to Kedah. Said microsite will also introduce users to the characters’ tales, as well as get to know the physical, already-existing Oghang Kedah festival that gets held every couple of years. To promote this campaign, Oghang Kedah will be collaborating with Zus Coffee, a famous local coffee chain.
