Brief

National Geographic Channel’s mission is to encourage people’s curiosity about the world around them - but with young Malaysians being so used to instant internet information access, they are no longer motivated to explore beyond their digital screens.

Solution

Pique our young Malaysian audiences with a series of highly visual, custom-built, interactive on-ground installations that invite them to look, touch and more importantly, discover a side of Malaysia they have never seen. The follow through: To continue the discovery with a line-up of related National Geographic Channel programmes. TV ratings increased by 77% in comparison with ratings in the 4 weeks before the campaign. The series of shows managed to reach an incremental 66% of TV audiences for the same time band.
