LAIN is a company that sells custom wooden furniture made out of local refurbished wood found in Malaysia which they then transform to high quality furniture through traditional methods such as wood joinery techniques, making the furniture unique and more valuable. The logo concept centres around detailed cut-out puzzle pieces of wooden planks that are used in wood joinery techniques. ‘Lain’ translates as ‘different’, hence the ‘i’ in LAIN is flipped to signify ‘I am different’ as a company. The brand aims to reflect its furniture characteristics in the design by redefining the combination of modern and its traditional identity.
