The rationale behind the “Padam Rokok” anti-smoking campaign is rooted in the observed decrease in Malaysian awareness of the dangers associated with smoking, particularly with the rising popularity of e-cigarettes among adults and Gen Zs. Recognizing the need for alternative methods to prevent the next generation from developing smoking habits, our campaign strategically targets Gen Zs and current smokers.
The insight into smoking prevalence among different age groups informs our approach. Millennials and Generation X exhibit higher smoking rates compared to the youngest Gen Z members, presenting an opportunity to address and potentially curb smoking habits within the younger demographic.
Ultimately, the goal of the campaign is to educate and raise awareness about the adverse effects of smoking, encouraging individuals, especially Gen Zs, to reconsider their smoking habits for the sake of their health. Through a blend of humor and relatable storytelling, “Padam Rokok” aims to re
