“Tick Tock” delves into the pressures we experience in life, especially the feeling that time is constantly running out. The protagonist, “Lost,” finds himself trapped in an endless tunnel, representing the race of life where one is either expected to succeed or be replaced. Each failed attempt to open the door—a symbol of escape—adds to his mounting stress, pushing him toward his breaking point.
The door vanishing just as he reaches it emphasises the elusive nature of success in a high-pressure environment. Lost’s journey reflects the harsh reality that many face: the societal expectation to “win” or risk losing everything. However, it is through his ultimate confrontation with the darkness—his own internal struggle—that Lost finds a way forward. By facing his fears head-on, he learns that survival isn’t merely about winning or losing, but about resilience in the face of relentless pressure.
The short film encourages viewers to reflect on their own lives, particularly
