Wau, a traditional Malaysian kite, known for its lightweight design and vibrant motifs. It represents not only the joy of kite festivals but also the deep cultural heritage of Malaysia. Unfortunately, this significance often goes unnoticed in the tourism market, overshadowed by its large size and limited market presence.

Recognizing this gap, we present Wau! A collection of handmade handbags inspired by the Wau Bulan kite. Crafted from exquisite batik fabric, each piece features unique Wau-shaped designs with buttons and tassels, preserving heritage craftsmanship while promoting Malaysian culture through contemporary fashion. Carrying a Wau bag is not just about fashion; it expresses individuality and cultural appreciation, transforming outings into opportunities to showcase heritage and elevate it as a global symbol of Malaysian identity. We aim to unite people across borders, share Malaysia’s warmth, and support economic growth and heritage preservation.
