What the Belly Wants is my body image trauma dump, but make it art. After years of trying to shrink myself like a badly written CSS code, I finally accepted the truth: the belly stays. So I turned it into a book, because therapy is expensive.
This work blends English, Mandarin, slang, and emotional chaos. Every page has its own personality disorder, some scream, some gossip, some just lie there like a salted fish. Honestly, same.
It’s a visual and textual exploration of self-perception, humor, and survival. The book doesn’t aim to fix the body, it celebrates its absurdity. Because if you can’t love your imperfections, at least laugh at them.
Delulu? Maybe. But it works.
