Julie's Love Letters
With 3 years of successful Raya films under their belt, Julie’s has garnered almost a cult following. For their fourth edition, the intent was the same — for Julie’s to continue their streak of telling stories that are reflective of their brand values.
In true Julie’s fashion, we crafted a 7-minute film of equality and empowerment, but in a current yet unlikely space: Artificial Intelligence.
The story follows the attempts of a Julie’s client and two marketing professionals to create a Raya commercial using a fictional A.I. chatbot: ADGPT. From scenarios inspired by actual prompts to Easter eggs that mimic generative A.I. errors, we made a genre-bending, meta film that breaks as many walls as it does stereotypes, all set during the Hari Raya festivities.
The result? Over hundreds of conversations about gender equality and A.I. in comment sections across all our platforms. While many praise the video for its unconventional story and cultural relevance, what mattered most were the conversations it sparked — something that we do not shy away from. And we are heartened to see other viewers engage and respond with such comments in our defense, too, hopefully leading to constructive dialogue.
