The idea for this project is to create three 3D motion graphic animations that reimagine the products or applications of Microsoft 365 into different real world locations/facilities, hence the title ‘The World of Microsoft 365’, where every different Microsoft 365 application would represent a respective location. For this project, only Microsoft PowerPoint, Words and Excel are used as the inspiration/reference for three locations: a cinema, a factory, and an amusement park respectively. Specific elements within the workspace of the applications are incorporated within the design of each location, for example: the scroll bar and slides tab from Microsoft PowerPoint is reimagined as a reel of film that is fed to the projector for the cinema. Elements from other Microsoft 365 applications are also used within each design to further emphasize the branding of Microsoft, such as the icon of Microsoft Teams being used to represent the population within the world.
