This short film tells the story of Nina, a student aspiring to be a great writer, but is unaware of the effects of her unchecked ADHD. As she struggles to complete her work, she fails to face her issues, her peers and mentors, and we ultimately witness Nina’s life deteriorate around her.
While many other short stories have tackled the visualisation of ADHD symptoms, this film seeks to represent a universal experience that is deeper than that— one of a life crumbling as a result of chronic self-denial. This experience is expressed through the discolouration and unravelling of Nina’s environment, and her self-degradation visualised into scratchy, spiky voices that cloud her head.
The message of this film seeks to spread awareness to those who tend to downplay and trivialise their mental battles and instead empower them to turn a different eye with empathy and self-acceptance.
