How can we bring attention to local classic albums at a time when people are focusing on foreign vinyls, allowing them to be collected by young music collectors (aged 21-45 years) in Malaysia?
Introducing re:cover, a design project that gave classic Malaysian albums a modern and current look – thus making it cool among the young music collectors.
Lefthanded is one of Malaysia’s favourite heavy metal bands. The typography, in the form of hard and bold lines is reflective of the loud sounds and heavy guitar riffs found in almost every song. Each line gets thicker, to signify the growing volume and heavier riffs. The colours were inspired by the band’s sold-out live concert in 2006, which utilised mainly red and blue lights.
