Brief

Over 900,000 tons of plastic waste has been dumped into Malaysia since 2018, courtesy of other developed countries such as the USA, United Kingdom, Japan and Australia. While there was inital outrage and progress, Covid hit and caused us to move on from this issue. Leaving a few thousand tonnes of trash stranded in Malaysia. We wanted the world leaders to take notice and take back their trash.

Solution

We gave a persona and voice to the foreign trash that have ended up in our country ‘unwillingly’ because of their own governments. So that they can express their unhappiness and desire to go back home. We created twitter accounts for the trash to mention these leaders specifically, and a website to rally support from Malaysians by retweeting their desires and demands.
