Change Your Life Campaign
As a life solution company, Coway envisions and strives to make the world a better, cleaner and safer place. They believe that our current and future generations deserve clean water, fresh air and a pristine environment to live in. Together with their creative partner, Coway launched ‘Change Your Life’ campaign in Malaysia, which focuses on “aiming to be there for customers through every moment of their lives”. They produced a short film that was inspired by true events - the journey of a child who, despite struggling with health issues, grew up to become a record-breaking freediver thanks in part to Coway’s presence in her household.
The challenge was to create a feeling of what the child experienced in phases of her life and engage the audience as if they were in her shoes. We recognised that the environment of the film was an important nucleus in helping to convey the director’s storytelling. Following the child’s life and her love of water, we purposefully built sounds around water, above and under. We carefully crafted sounds that were immersive, impactful yet had to be as believably real as possible. Along with the beautiful music score, the voice-over direction also played a crucial part in bringing the film to life. It was narrated in a natural manner to portray her struggles, tenacity and her extraordinary achievement. Once the film was launched on digital platforms, views spiked with many positive comments and enquiries about Coway’s products and services. As a whole sonically, we felt it brought out the child’s amazing journey and the film’s powerful message about everyday choices that we make.
