While Maybank is already greatly known in Malaysia across all ages, it isn’t the same in Indonesia. Wanting to be more relevant to the young and urban, we were tasked to create a brand film that showed them how Maybank is a bank that helps elevate the lives of Indonesians.
The brand’s tagline “Maybank, My Bank” coupled with our understanding of how Indonesia’s current generation of youth are incredibly hard workers, led to our direction of bringing Indonesians to greater heights. We created a whimsical spot that features different Indonesians slowly flying off from various scenarios, from an office to a maternity ward, to the tune of a classic Indonesian children’s song “Naik Naik Ke Puncak Gunung” to show that with a little help, anyone can rise above.
