In a small corner of Melaka, an elderly couple begins each day long before the sun does. Their hands move slowly now, but with a tenderness shaped by years of making bak chang together. The chopping, the stirring, the wrapping, it is less a business and more a love language they’ve spoken for decades.

They know age is catching up. They know the shop may one day close with no children or apprentices waiting to inherit the craft. But there is no bitterness in them. Only gratitude and the quiet joy of still having each other to wake up to.

This documentary follows their gentle rhythm of life. Two people holding on to a tradition simply because it gave their days meaning and gave their love a place to live.
