The campaign highlights Melaka as a place where tradition and modern life meet, but notices a growing gap between Gen Z and Millennials when it comes to cultural heritage. Dari Nenek Ke Cucu, with the tagline Bridging Generations Together, aims to close that gap by encouraging both groups to reconnect with Melaka’s stories in a fun and meaningful way. Using a heartfelt yet playful tone, the campaign invites audiences to rediscover heritage through an interactive YouTube series featuring “Nenek” as the main storyteller. Viewers get to shape the narrative through their choices. This is supported by refreshed merchandise, social media content, and an interactive installation to spark curiosity, FOMO, and engagement with Melaka’s culture.
