For Ramadan and Raya, Grab wanted to show users how much every order means to our delivery-partners. Annnd, we wanted to do that through the lens of Grab delivery bags.
So, how did we bring these iconic green bags to life?
CGI? Nope. We wanted to keep it real. So it was practical effects all the way. To create natural movements that would sync with the dialogues, we got the voice actors to puppeteer the bags. Yup, they were hiding behind the bags (and erased in post). And for the more dramatic scenes, we went with rods of various lengths and the trusty fishing line.
