Dr Pontianak Season 2 Series
Malaysia is full of hantus. Hantu Bola (football ghost), Hantu K-Pop, Hantu Kerja (work ghost). Here, being obsessed is literally called being a ghost.
To launch Season 2 of Dr. Pontianak, a drama about a half-human, half-vampire doctor who helps spirits, we asked: What if we turned people’s obsessions into fandom towards the series?
We opened Klinik Bergerak Dr Pontianak, Malaysia’s first mobile ghost clinic. The pop-up clinic diagnosed Malaysians’ obsessions and prescribed one cure: Dr. Pontianak 2. We set up clinics where different hantus gathered. Stadiums for Hantu Bola, concerts for Hantu K-Pop, offices for Hantu Kerja. Inside, eerie medical staff ran “diagnosis sessions” that ended with patients receiving a cheeky medical certificate containing a code to stream the show.
