The rise of e-commerce has diluted the hype for exclusive deals with the likes of mega giants hosting all year monthly deals like 8.8, Cyber Monday, IT Fairs and so much more. So, when mega tech giant, Intel wanted to host yet another ‘Festival of Deals’ in conjunction with Intel Gamer Days, we asked ourselves, how do we get them excited?
Looting is a big gaming culture. It is the act of finding hidden ‘Easter Eggs’ within video games for gamers to gain an upper edge to help them progress further in a game. We took this behaviour out of the game and got gamers hunting for loot codes instead of conveniently giving it to them. Top gaming KOLs hyped up the hunt and we turned Facebook into our playground, hiding codes using the platform’s native functions and in obvious places no one would ever think to look at. The ultimate loot code was hidden within all the other loot codes for them to earn the Intel’s Greatest Loot Hunter title.
