“Echo Temple” is a social media advertising campaign to explore algorithmic influence among social media users and promote critical thinking. It addresses the growing reliance on smartphones and social media, highlighting how hidden algorithms subtly control and influence users’ lives, leading to a decline in critical thinking and independent judgment. The “digital god” symbolizes the powerful role of algorithms in shaping our thoughts. The campaign uses this metaphor to critique the passive conformity of blindly following algorithm-driven content.
